What is a Conscious Inner Transformer?

The Conscious Inner Transformer (CIT) reclaims, heals and transforms with ever-increasing awareness; conscious and sentient; into the expanding wholeness of their potential self.

On the outside this may not be noticed by others at all, except in those times where we create ripples as we balance our personal transformation with our outer lives.  It is an ongoing path and one that takes us to depths of ourselves that those who are not equipped for this journey would possibly fear to tread.  As such it often sets us apart from others as, by our very nature we do not conform internally with any designated ‘norm’ and may be seen by others as oddities or possibly even unsettling – especially where our inner urge to transform our personal limitations may trigger others’ insecurities when social expectations would instead have us preserve the status quo (both inner and outer).

So this site is also here to validate who you are and what you are here to do.

For much of our path, we are able to source the information or teachings that can assist us to the next step of our personal inner journey, one that brings us closer to our inner guidance and healing, helps us to break free of an inner limitations or fear, or gives us the sense of having transformed in some way that is meaningful to us.  We often do this using an innate sense of knowing – even though it may be clouded by self-doubt – that leads us, with synchronicity, in the ‘right’ direction.

Occasionally however, we can feel stuck, and no matter how hard we may struggle along with the inner healing techniques that have worked for us in the past, we can feel trapped within a limiting bubble of personal reality that once represented security, yet now leaves us desperately yearning to move beyond its boundaries.  Times such as these can feel like existential crises.

It is at these points in our existence that we have to search deeper within ourselves and if we are fortunate we find someone who has gone to that place themselves and recognizes both where we are and can also point to a way beyond.

The contributors to this site have identified themselves as Conscious Inner Transformers and have transformed to a point where they would like to assist others along the path.   To them I am truly grateful, as without them, I would not be where I am today, and this site would be a lot poorer in the information shared.

And to you, if you identify yourself as a Conscious Inner Transformer, welcome!

Let your sentience be your guide and your consciousness assist you along the way. And may those of you who resonate deeply with these words find safe-haven and community here with others of similar purpose.

In coming up with the term Conscious Inner Transformer, we have endeavored to use the most accurate, non-cliched description we can that is short yet descriptive.  Below is a definition of each of the words/terms used in the description.

(There is also a Glossary of Terms for other terminology used in this site, so we’re all on the same page.)

Conscious Inner Transformer

Conscious: is meant in two ways:

  1. To be increasingly aware of oneself on all levels – including our identity, thought processes, sensations, feelings, perceptions and our environment; our inner motivations, limiting beliefs and fears; as well as our divine or soul nature.
  2. To deliberately and intentionally make the effort towards becoming whole.

Inner – denotes that the effort to become whole is consciously occurring in the inner life of the person, rather than necessarily being an obvious action that others can see.  The work, healing, transformation takes place within one, and pertains to what can be sensed by the individual including, mental, spiritual, emotional, sentient impressions.  It also encompasses the conscious, subconscious and supraconscious (or ‘higher’ consciousness) of the individual, where one might become consciously aware of a previously subconscious emotional wound (for instance) and then connecting with one’s higher consciousness or greater self, releases the repressed emotion, bringing about healing at a deep inner level.

There can be times once a person is on the path of inner transformation, that they notice a large part of their energy/consciousness is pulled ‘down’ or ‘within’ and away from their conscious mind, sometimes making it difficult to concentrate on outward tasks.  What is happening at these times is that their natural tendency towards inner transformation is occurring and their energy is being drawn into the subconscious regions in order to address the issue or area for healing (to wholeness). By working consciously with this, one is more able to facilitate the process.

Transformer: the Transformer takes healing/inner work further into the Journey to Wholeness – and ultimately to complete wholeness.  In wholeness nothing is missing, whatever one’s reality.  Wholeness contains no fragmentation and as death represents fragmentation, in wholeness there is no death.  To be whole is to exist consciously at all levels (not just mentally) as consciousness must be a part of everything.  With continuing and deepening personal healing in the context of this description one becomes increasingly conscious.  Complete wholeness is Truth, as all is encompassed at this state.

A deeper understanding of a Conscious Inner Transformer

The Conscious Inner Transformer does most of their healing in an esoteric manner.  “Esoteric” means “Inner” (from  the Greek esoterikós inner, equiv. to ester(os) inner + -ikos -ic ) – so this is a person who heals themselves in a self-guided manner by facing their own inner shadow and bringing it to the light.

Conscious Inner Transformers are very aware of their inner wound/s, although this in itself does not set them apart from other wounded healers.  The Conscious Inner Transformer is different to others in that they are prepared to plunge to the very deRabbit Holepths of themselves to bring about true and permanent healing.

They are prepared to go all the way down the proverbial Rabbit Hole – no matter how far it goes – no matter what they might have to face within – in order to find full healing.  In fact, even if they have not been taught to do so and don’t know how to go about it, something within them knows that this is what they need to do.

Most people are content to address the issues near the surface of their subconscious in order to allow them to live more comfortable lives with healthier relationships and perhaps a greater sense of abundance.  There are those who do go further within, perhaps spending more time in meditation and utilising inner healing techniques or going to spiritual healers for assistance.  Conscious Inner Transformers may identify with these groups to a certain extent, but after a time they usually find that the teachings offered by any of the former groups is still incomplete in some way.

At this point the  Conscious Inner Transformer may feel stuck – wishing to grow, but not having the inner tools or understanding to enable them to go further.  While ultimately the path of the Conscious Inner Transformer requires they meet the challenge of healing themselves, and thereby discover their strengths hidden within their challenges – they can find inspiration and guidance from other Inner Transformers who have gone further and who can act as “signposts”.

One of the difficulties for the Conscious Inner Transformer is that they are often surrounded by people who negate what they naturally do (through lack of understanding or even fear), and this can cause the Transformer to doubt themselves, their gifts and their Purpose.  They may learn at an early age to keep this aspect of themselves hidden in an attempt to fit in, but usually always feel an outsider in some way.  They may have a strong sense of being guided, protected or connected to a higher power whatever name they may give it, but in the face of the majority of people around them, keep this knowing a secret, perhaps even believing that they are flawed in some way for feeling such as they do.

As a result, the Conscious Inner Transformer may follow a career path that they believe will enable them to fit in, be approved of, keep their loved ones happy.  Generally talented in several areas, the Conscious Inner Transformer may succeed for some time along this path, but ultimately may fail or feel a deep dilemma as at their core they know there is another path, possibly at odds with the one they have chosen, that calls them.  Not driven by a strong desire to acquire money or title, the Conscious Inner Transformer may appear to be less accomplished than they are by the world’s standards.  Depending on how much they gain a sense of self-worth from their outer world, the Conscious Inner Transformer may struggle with a deep sense of failure.

A Conscious Inner Transformer may have been attracted to varying esoteric or metaphysical paths, such as religious orders, western or eastern spiritual traditions, magic or the occult, or psychology or mythology, only to find that these are not complete enough maps to guide them to where they need to go, which ultimately is into their own personal Rabbit Hole.

Often there is a guilty struggle, trying to balance being dutiful to their family/personal relationships, and following their more personal, solitary, inward path which calls them.

In a world that is geared towards negating the inner self, keeping the status quo even if it means remaining at odds with one’s core identity, the path of the Conscious Inner Transformer can be a difficult one indeed as it requires them to do their work within, in such a way that is often not recognized, nor understood, by those they hold dear.

The good news is that this site has been set up to validate and support Conscious Inner Transformers and if you find yourself identifying with the above description, then please know you are welcome here.

Hi Togara, and thank you for taking the time to write, I appreciate that. I hope you find other articles of interest. There’s an eclectic mix of information here. Some on Inner Transformation, and a lot of posts on general life circumstances that I ‘cycle’ through as I make my way through life. However, I see everything in my life is pertinent to transformation. Some areas that require more healing or releasing – and other areas that are more in tune with my authentic self, or are avenues for me to discover more of my true nature.
